The Sonics are currently at their largest and strongest. Having topped the Surrey League in consecutive seasons, the Mens Team now play in the Middlesex Basketball League and showed strongly last year. Meanwhile our Under 16's became the first Sonics junior team to win a trophy on Cup Final Day back in April 2006, overturning their only loss to the league winners earlier in the season

The club still holds strong to its tradition of development for all, regardless of age or ability. There is always another goal to be reached, always an improvement to be made

Sunbury Sonics offers to those willing to commit themselves to it, the opportunity to play for Spelthorne in the Surrey Youth Games every year. This is a competition steeped in Sonics history with Spelthorne exhibiting a large amount of success in the past.

The next step from representing Spelthorne is to become a part of the County squad. Again, those players showing this ability, commitment and respect will be presented with the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of some of the older Sonics who have gone on to represent Surrey, the South East Region and even England.
